Ijen Tour from Bali — Private Blue Fire & Kawah Ijen Crater

1. 17:00 – 20:00

   Hotel Pickup Anywhere in Bali

   Pickup time depends on where your hotel is — south Bali leaves earlier than north Bali. Coverage: Kuta, Seminyak, Canggu, Sanur, Denpasar, Nusa Dua, Jimbaran, Ubud, plus common north Bali bases on request. Private AC car or minivan, sized to your group, with luggage space.

2. 3 – 5 hours

   Drive to Gilimanuk Port, West Bali

   Roughly 130–150 km from south Bali. Overland via Tabanan and the west coast highway, or via the central highlands if you are starting from Ubud or north Bali. We aim to reach Gilimanuk late at night, when the road is quiet and the port is calmer.

3. 45 – 60 minutes

   Crossing the Ketapang Ferry: Bali to Java

   Operating 24 hours, with crossings roughly every 30–60 minutes overnight. Standard vehicle ferry; we stay with the car or move to the passenger deck depending on conditions. The strait is short, but sometimes choppy and noisy. Bring a light jacket — the wind can feel cold at 02:00.

4. 60 – 90 minutes

   Java-side Transfer to the Ijen Trailhead

   From Ketapang port in Banyuwangi to the Paltuding basecamp, depending on your overnight option. Here we link up with our licensed East Java team — drivers, mountain guides and, if needed, a local coordinator.

5. 01:00 – 02:00

   The Kawah Ijen Night Hike & Blue Fire

   Trailhead at around 1,850 m, summit rim at about 2,379 m, ~3 km one way to the main rim viewpoint. Typical hiking time is 1.5–2.5 hours up and 1–1.5 hours down, plus an optional descent into the crater if conditions allow. After a safety briefing and gas-mask fitting, you start the steady climb under headlamp.

   Not technical, but the gradient is real — "moderately hard" if you are not used to hills

6. 05:30 – late morning

   Sunrise on the Crater Rim & Descent

   Once the sky starts to lighten, we guide you to selected rim points: sulfur vapor rising off a turquoise lake, framed by steep crater walls and the sun pushing over the horizon. After photographs and a snack break, we walk back down to the basecamp, usually reaching the parking area by mid to late morning.

   Then breakfast, a quick clean-up, and the drive back toward the ferry and Bali
